Automated financial statements, from export to board pack
Automated financial statements work in three steps: bring your bookkeeping data, let the software build formatted statements with written analysis, then review and export. With AIStatements the whole cycle takes about 60 seconds.
Bring your data
Three ways in, all under a minute:
- Upload a CSV from your bank or bookkeeping tool. The mapper detects date, amount and description columns in most layouts, including debit and credit pairs.
- Connect QuickBooks or Xero and statements build from your live ledger, including the accrual balance sheet.
- Drop in an export from almost any system that produces transactions: payroll platforms, payment processors, POS reports.
Generate the pack
The engine does four passes over your data:
- a.Categorize every transaction to statement lines the way a bookkeeper would.
- b.Build the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement with subtotals, indent hierarchy and double-ruled totals.
- c.Compute the ratios: margins, runway, burn, current ratio, DSO, trends by month and quarter.
- d.Write the commentary and pin red flags to the exact lines that triggered them.
Review and export
Nothing leaves without your eyes on it:
- Flip monthly to quarterly, drill any figure back to its underlying rows.
- Read the flags: each one links to the statement line and explains the threshold it crossed.
- Export a board-deck PDF or XLSX, or share a live link with your accountant for review.
Software, not advice. Have a professional review anything you file.
Data handling
Your numbers stay yours
Encrypted, both directions
Everything is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). The sample demo on this site parses files in your browser; nothing uploads until you have a workspace.
Never sold, never trained on
Your financial data is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train AI models. The commentary engine works on your figures inside your workspace, full stop.
Deletable on request
Disconnect QuickBooks or Xero and delete your workspace anytime; exports and source data go with it. Enterprise plans add a DPA and a formal security review.
What "automated" means here, precisely
The figures are deterministic. Categorization, subtotals, ratios and period math are computed the same way every time from the data you provide; run the same export twice and you get the same pack. The AI writes only the narrative layer, and every sentence it writes cites numbers you can point to in the statements.
What it does not do: it does not invent adjustments, book accruals you never gave it, or certify compliance. AIStatements is software that formats and analyzes your data. It is not accounting, audit, tax or investment advice, and there is no guarantee of GAAP or IFRS compliance. If the pack is going to a bank, a regulator or a filing, have a licensed professional review it first; the accounting firms that use AIStatements do exactly that review, faster.
If you want to see the output before creating an account, the financial statement generator on the homepage runs on three sample companies, or on any CSV you drop into it. Plans start at $39 a month on the pricing page.
