What changes

The pack is done before the coffee is

3 days

Close the month faster

Statement prep is the slowest mile of the close. Upload the export, get the formatted pack, spend your time reviewing instead of typesetting.

0 surprises

Walk into the board meeting with answers

The commentary explains margin moves, burn and runway before anyone asks. You read it in two minutes; it reads like your best analyst wrote it.

⚑ Gross margin fell 2.1pp QoQ

Catch red flags before your bank does

Every pack is scanned across all three statements: margin slips, rising DSO, thinning liquidity, expense lines outgrowing revenue.

For the decision maker

The math your CFO will do anyway

A controller at $95,000 a year costs about $46 an hour. Statement prep at 6 hours per entity per month is $276 per pack, before the review cycle. Growth runs $99 a month for five entities: the first close pays for the quarter, and the junior hours go back to work that needs judgment.

You spend /mo on statement prep. Plan cost: /mo.

1 pack

For loans, grants and diligence

Lenders and grant committees read hundreds of files. A clean, consistently formatted statement pack reads like a business that has its house in order. Export PDF or XLSX.

How it works

Export in, statements out

01

Bring your data

Upload a CSV or bank export, or connect QuickBooks or Xero. Messy columns are fine: the mapper reads dates, amounts and descriptions the way a bookkeeper would.

02

Generate the pack

AIStatements builds the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with proper subtotals, ruled totals and period columns, then writes the commentary and scans for red flags.

03

Review and export

Flip monthly to quarterly, read the analysis, drill any figure back to its rows. Export a board-deck PDF or XLSX, or share a live link with your accountant.

Software, not advice. Have a licensed professional review anything you file.

Anatomy of the pack

Typeset like an accountant, annotated like an analyst

  • Double-rule totals

Statements are typeset to the conventions a lender expects: indent hierarchy, ruled subtotals, the double rule under the total.

  • Red ink where it belongs

Negatives sit in parentheses and red ink, so a scan of the column tells the story before the numbers do.

  • Red-flag chips

Cross-statement checks surface as flags pinned to the line that triggered them. Click one and the pack opens on that line.

  • Written commentary

The AI reads the finished figures and writes the narrative: what moved, why it matters, what to watch next month.

"My accountant already does this."

They do, at their hourly rate, after the 10th. AIStatements hands both of you the finished pack on the 1st; your accountant reviews instead of rebuilds.

"AI will get my numbers wrong."

The figures are computed, not generated: deterministic math on your ledger. The AI only writes the narrative around numbers it can cite.

"We're too small for this."

One entity on Starter is $39 a month. If you send financials to a bank, a board or a grant committee even quarterly, the first pack covers it.

Scope and standards

What the software does, stated plainly

Data it accepts

  • CSV and delimited bank or bookkeeping exports, including separate debit and credit columns
  • A trial balance or general-ledger transaction export from most systems
  • A read-only QuickBooks Online or Xero connection; nothing is written back to your books
  • Multiple periods at once, so prior-period columns and trends build from the same file

Statements it produces

  • Income statement (profit and loss) with gross profit, operating income and net income subtotals
  • Balance sheet in classified form, with the assets = liabilities + equity check shown, not assumed
  • Cash flow statement by the indirect method, reconciling net income to the change in cash
  • Ratio set and written commentary, plus PDF and XLSX export of the whole pack

Standards and limits

  • Statements follow US GAAP presentation conventions (ASC 205/210/230) on the basis your books are kept: accrual or cash.
  • Presentation is not compliance. AIStatements does not certify GAAP or IFRS conformity, and produces no notes or disclosures.
  • It books nothing you did not give it: no accruals, no adjusting entries, no reclassifications invented on your behalf.
  • The output is not an audit, review, compilation or any other attestation, and it is not accounting, audit, tax or investment advice.

Questions, answered straight

Before you ask

Is this accounting advice?

No. AIStatements is software that formats and analyzes your data. It is not accounting, audit, tax or investment advice, and it is not a CPA firm. Have a licensed professional review anything you file or submit.

How accurate is the AI analysis?

The figures are deterministic: computed from your ledger, never generated. The AI writes only the narrative, and every sentence cites numbers you can see in the statements. If the data is wrong, the pack flags inconsistencies rather than papering over them.

What formats can I upload?

CSV and bank exports work out of the box; the mapper reads dates, amounts and descriptions in most layouts. Or connect QuickBooks or Xero and skip files entirely.

Is my financial data safe?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and never used to train models. Enterprise plans add a DPA, security review and SSO.

Does it work with QuickBooks and Xero?

Yes. Connect either one and statements build from your live ledger, including the accrual balance sheet. CSV upload covers everything else.

Can my accounting firm use it for clients?

That is what the Firm plan is for: up to 25 client workspaces, roles, a review workflow and white-label packs. Larger firms run on Enterprise.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans cancel in one click from billing; yearly plans do not auto-renew without notice. Your exports remain yours either way.

How long does setup take?

One upload, about 60 seconds to a finished pack. There is no chart-of-accounts mapping project: drop the export or connect QuickBooks or Xero and the first statements are on screen the same minute.

More detail, including how accurate AI financial analysis is in practice, lives on the FAQ page.
