Docyt Alternative, Docyt Pricing and Hotel Financial Statements From QuickBooks Compared
The main Docyt alternatives are other hotel back-office accounting suites for management companies that want USALI reporting and PMS integration, QuickBooks Online with a hospitality bookkeeper for independents, AI bookkeeping add-ons such as Booke AI at $129 per business a month, and AIStatements for owners whose need is the finished monthly statement pack. Docyt's Accounting Suite starts at $299 per property a month, billed monthly on annual plans, read from docyt.com/pricing on 29 September 2026. AIStatements builds a tied P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with written analysis from a QuickBooks, Xero or CSV export from $39 a month, and covers five properties for $99 a month billed yearly.
Docyt is now an AI-native ERP for hotels, restaurants and franchises, priced per property. If what your owners and lenders need each month is a tied P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with the analysis written, you can produce that from the QuickBooks or Xero books you already keep.

What Docyt is in 2026
Docyt started as AI bookkeeping automation that sat on top of QuickBooks Online, and a lot of what is written about it still describes that product. The company has since moved. Its site now calls Docyt an AI-native ERP for hotels, restaurants, retail and franchises, "the back office that speaks hotel", with payments, accounting and business intelligence in one system and continuous reconciliation and month-end close on Docyt's own ledger. A general ledger sync with QuickBooks Online is still offered.
The hotel detail is real. Docyt connects to more than 30 property management and point-of-sale systems, including Oracle OPERA, Hilton OnQ, Marriott FSPMS and choiceADVANTAGE, matches bank deposits against revenue from several PMS and POS systems at once, and produces daily financials, a daily flash for revenue and labor, KPI dashboards for RevPAR, ADR and occupancy, and USALI owner packages. For a management company running a portfolio of branded select-service hotels, that is a serious product and a fair price for what it replaces.
Docyt pricing per property
Read from docyt.com/pricing on 29 September 2026, Docyt sells by the property. The Accounting Suite, covering revenue reconciliation, continuous close and multi-entity accounting, is priced from $299 per property per month. The Payments Suite (bill pay, corporate cards, receivables and vendor management) and the Business Intelligence Suite are add-ons priced per property, with the Daily Flash also sold standalone from $100 per location per month. The Enterprise Suite combines all three at a custom portfolio price that scales with property count.
Every plan includes unlimited users, all integrations, onboarding and training, and a dedicated hospitality accountant. Billing is monthly on annual plans, with no exit penalties stated. Data migration and catch-up accounting are quoted separately, at $200 per month of books caught up. Checks and ACH on the Payments Suite carry transaction fees.
Earlier in 2026 Docyt priced by transaction volume ($299 up to 200 transactions a month, rising to $999 and above), and that older table is still quoted on many comparison sites. If a review gives you transaction bands, it is out of date.
The arithmetic that matters: three hotels on the Accounting Suite start at $897 a month, or $10,764 a year, before the Payments or BI add-ons. AIStatements publishes every tier and does not charge per property. Starter is $39 a month billed yearly or $49 month to month for one company, Growth is $99 billed yearly or $119 monthly for up to five companies, and Firm is $289 billed yearly or $349 monthly for up to 25. The full list is on the pricing page.
Why hotel owners and their accountants look for a Docyt alternative
The first reason is scope. Docyt is built to run the back office: reconciliation, bill pay, cards, close and daily reporting. An independent owner with one or two limited-service properties and a bookkeeper who already keeps the QuickBooks file clean is often not short of a back office. What they are short of is a monthly package their partners and their lender can read without a phone call.
The second is the per-property meter. Per-property pricing is fair for a management company billing fees per hotel, and hard to justify for an owner whose third property is a 40-room roadside hotel doing modest revenue. The fee is the same for the small property as the flagship.
The third is the ledger. Docyt now closes the books on its own ledger. Plenty of owners, CPAs and lenders want to keep QuickBooks as the book of record, because the tax preparer, the SBA lender, the franchise brand's reporting and any future buyer's diligence all start from a QuickBooks file.
The fourth is the annual commitment. Docyt bills monthly on annual plans. An owner who only wants cleaner monthly statements does not want to sign a year of back-office software to find out whether it helps.
Docyt alternatives, sorted by what you are really buying
Most lists of Docyt competitors lump together software that does different jobs. Split them by the job and the comparison gets short.
If you want a hotel back office with PMS integration, labor management and USALI reporting across a portfolio, compare Docyt with the hotel-specific accounting suites that management companies use, and ask each for a written per-property quote. If you want to keep QuickBooks and have AI take over categorization and document matching inside it, Booke AI runs in an existing QuickBooks or Xero file at $129 per business a month; the whole category is priced side by side on our AI accounting software comparison and in AI bookkeeping software pricing. If you want a person to do the books, a bookkeeper who knows hospitality is still the most common answer for independents.
If what you want is the output, a monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow per property that tie out, with the reasons for the movements written in plain English, you do not need to replace the ledger or the bookkeeper. That is the job AIStatements does.
What AIStatements does instead
You keep QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop or Xero and whoever keeps the books. Export a general ledger, a transaction list or an adjusted trial balance for each property, or for the owning entity, and upload it. AIStatements builds the profit and loss statement, the balance sheet and the statement of cash flows, and checks that they tie: net income flows into retained earnings, and ending cash on the cash flow statement matches cash on the balance sheet.
It then computes gross and net margin, current ratio, days sales outstanding and month-over-month movement, writes the analysis in plain English, flags lines that look like posting errors, and exports a PDF and an Excel workbook in about a minute. On Growth, five properties or entities sit in one account with quarterly and trailing-twelve-month views, which is the period most hotel lenders ask for at covenant testing. The same approach for rental portfolios is on property management financial statements, and for food and beverage outlets on restaurant profit and loss statements.
What AIStatements does not do is run the back office. It does not connect to your PMS, reconcile deposits to the night audit, pay bills, manage labor or produce USALI departmental schedules. If those are the reasons you looked at Docyt, Docyt or another hotel suite is the right purchase, and AIStatements can still produce the owner and lender pack from whichever ledger you keep.
How to decide between Docyt and keeping QuickBooks
Start with where the hours go. If your team loses days each month reconciling PMS revenue to bank deposits across several properties, chasing invoices and assembling a daily flash by hand, a hotel back office like Docyt pays for itself and the per-property fee is the smaller number. Ask for a written quote for your exact property count and the add-ons you need.
If the books are already kept and reconciled, and the pain is turning them into something the owners, partners and bank read, changing systems is the long way round. Run one month of one property's QuickBooks export through AIStatements and compare the result with the pack you sent last month. For up to five properties the comparison is $99 a month billed yearly against $299 per property before add-ons.

How much does Docyt cost?
Docyt's Accounting Suite starts at $299 per property per month, billed monthly on annual plans, read from docyt.com/pricing on 29 September 2026. Payments and Business Intelligence are per-property add-ons, the Daily Flash is sold alone from $100 per location a month, and catch-up accounting is $200 per month of books.
Is Docyt only for hotels?
No, but hotels come first. Docyt describes itself as an AI-native ERP for hotels, restaurants, retail and franchises, and its integrations, USALI owner packages and RevPAR dashboards are built for hospitality. Multi-location restaurants and franchise operators are the other main customers.
Does Docyt work with QuickBooks?
Docyt offers a general ledger sync with QuickBooks Online, but it now runs reconciliation and close on its own ledger. If you want QuickBooks to stay the book of record and only improve the monthly statements, a reporting tool that reads your QuickBooks export is the simpler route.
Can I get monthly hotel financial statements without switching from QuickBooks?
Yes. AIStatements reads a QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop or Xero export per property, builds a tied P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, writes the analysis in plain English and exports PDF and Excel in about a minute. Growth covers five properties for $99 a month billed yearly.
Is Docyt worth it for a single hotel?
It can be, if the property has real reconciliation and payables work and no bookkeeper. At $299 a month on an annual plan before add-ons, a single independent hotel whose books are already kept in QuickBooks usually gets more from keeping the ledger and improving the monthly reporting.
